- IT Giovanni aveva avuto visioni celesti, ma non credeva ai fantasmi. Quand’era presso la nonna materna, una sera si udirono rumori sospetti nel solaio. Uno spirito?... E chi mai altro ? Tutti hanno paura, lui no. Si arrampica lassù, e scopre una gallina, che beccando dei chicchi in un setaccio, se l’era tirato addosso, e lo trascinava qua e là sul pavimento.
- IT John had visions, but he did not believe in ghosts. When he was at his grandmother’s they heard noises in the attic. Perhaps it was a ghost?... All were afraid except John. He climbed up and found a hen. It had been pecking at some grain in a basket. The basket had overturned, and fallen over the hen, which was dragging it about over the floor.
